Ramp for Champs - a fashion show to educate children

Ramp for Champs was designed with the objective of not only educating children, but also sensitizing the maximum number of people towards this cause. This celebrity studded fashion show is a cooperative effort of Smile Foundation and fashion guru Mr. Prasad Bidapa.

In this endeavour, Smile asked for the support of celebrities and corporates together to make bigger our blanket of development initiatives for deprived but deserving children. Renowned people namely Priyanka Upendra, Ramesh Arvind, Chetan, Anand Rao, Ritu Mallya, Vikram Kirloskar, Chetan Maini, Pallavi & Krithika Gopinath, Uzma Irfan, Prerna Tandon, Trupti Prasad, Elizabeth Chapman, Mayuri Upadhyay, Waseem Khan, Manoviraj Khosla, Rohit & Pashmeena Barker, Manjusha Maheshwari and Seema Malhotra walked the ramp for the fashion show.

The Celebs came wearing any garment of their choice and walked down the ramp. A child from Smile Foundation accompanied each celeb on the ramp. The achievers of today walking with the celebs of tomorrow and encouraging them to touch the sky.

We had 25 of Bangalore’s top achievers from different walks of life walked the ramp on 4th March 2011 at ITC Royal Gardenia’s Botania.

Ramp for Champs 2011 was focused on sending 1000 under privileged children from difficult circumstances to school for a year. Being in the very first year of RFC, the number of Smiles spread was certainly not less.

We were able to send 573 kids
to school for a year.
